About

The BioNanopor Society was founded in 2009. The topics concern various aspects of biomolecular modeling and experiments and their applications in medicine and biomedical engineering. The Societies's activities initially focused on research on nano-holes in cell membranes, which include, among others, naturally occurring protein ion channels and electropores generated by electric fields, used in cancer electrochemotherapy. However, over time, the Society's area of interest has significantly expanded. The Society was awarded the Rector's Award and first place in the national StRuNa competition. In 2015, together with the Bioinformatics Society of the Silesian University of Technology, it initiated annual workshops of scientific clubs, which gather more and more clubs from different universities. Currently, the Society operates in the association of student societies affiliated with the Polish Bioinformatics Society.

About

The SIGNUM Students Scientific Society is a vibrant student organization at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence and modern technologies in medicine. Our efforts center around creating tools to support both medical doctors and patients by developing mobile applications, educational platforms, and medical data analysis systems.

Among our projects are intelligent clinical dashboards that interpret large volumes of medical data, applications supporting patients with metabolic disorders, and educational tools designed to convey knowledge in an accessible way. Members of the SIGNUM SSA enhance their skills in artificial intelligence, data analysis, and programming, bridging theory with practical application.

Participation in SIGNUM allows students to pursue their own research ideas, take part in interdisciplinary projects, and present their work at scientific conferences. Together, we develop innovative solutions that have a tangible impact on the future of medicine.
